Swabbing and Perforating
The all-in-one Big Guns trucks provide a complete cased-hole solution for logging, swabbing, perforating, tubing conveyed perforating and abandonment.
Swabbing
Swabbing is performed in cased hole completions to unload fluid from the casing to allow for instantaneous gas production after perforating. A swabbing mandrel with swab cups is run into the well using our heavy gauge wireline. When the assembly is retrieved, the swab cups create a seal against the casing wall and extracts fluid from the well.
Swabbing Experience and Innovation
Big Guns have swabbed casings as part of new well completions since the company's inception in 1996. We have a core group of field supervisors with many years experience swabbing a variety of casing sizes to deeper and deeper depths. As a result, we have upgraded all of our trucks with a multipurpose 3/8 single conductor e-line with has improved our swabbing efficiency. This also allows us to run heavier tool configurations for other wireline applications. Big Guns has also developed a swab mandrel with a unique fluid unloading feature which helps to avoid costly fishing operations.

Thru-tubing Perforating
Thru-tubing perforating eliminates the need for removing the tubing from the well when wanting to re-perforate an old interval or to add to an existing perforated interval, this can save on costly and dangerous snubbing procedures.
Thru-tubing perforating collar locators are used to position thru-tubing perforating guns below the end of the tubing in the casing across a zone of interest.
